Sweeping the clouds away for 40 years now !!

WOW, can you believe that it has been 40 years already?

WOAH!

I grew up watching Sesame Street.
My kids watched/watch Sesame Street.
There's no other children's show like it, that's for sure.

To help celebrate 40 years, Vivendi Entertainment and Sesame Workshop is releasing Sesame Street: 40 years of Sunny Days.

A little bit about this dvd:

The two-disc set, SESAME STREET: 40 YEARS OF SUNNY DAYS, features a wide selection of iconic segments of past and present from Ernie’s bath-time song “Rubber Duckie” (Season One), which topped the Top-40 charts for seven weeks; to Kevin Clash’s first episode as Elmo (Season 17); to Maria and Luis’ wedding
(Season 19); to Abby Cadabby’s arrival on Sesame Street (Season 37), and much more. Fans can also watch some of their favorite celebrity segments including James Taylor, Pattie Labelle, Smokey Robinson and Feist!

A limited edition, hard cover commemorative book compliments the set. An amazing anniversary celebration for fans young and old, the commemorative two-disc DVD set SESAME STREET: 40 YEARS OF SUNNY DAYS will be available for the suggested retail price of $29.93.

Sesame Street fans of all ages will enjoy this box set.
I've been enjoying watching these with my own children.

Is it really 40 years old? I am 25 years old and remember watching Maria on Seseme street as a child...I love this show!

Watchin' Sesame Street right now! I don't really care for their new format though. What's up with animating the Sesame Street characters? I'd rather see Jim Henson's original creations: The Muppets! I don't like the claymation Bert and Ernie. :(
